On the evening of November 10, 2023, the School of Mechanical Engineering held the 2022 Advanced Class Collective Defense Review Meeting in the Lecture Hall on the seventh floor of the Mechanical Building. This defense meeting was held by Ling Zhiyong, a veteran teacher of CCW, and counselors of all grades as judges, and the freshmen class committee was present to observe and learn, and Huang Guoqing presided over the meeting.
First of all, Huang Guoqing briefly explained the importance of this advanced class collective defense evaluation meeting, introduced the defense process and scoring standards one by one. Subsequently, representatives of each class showed the class style around the class construction, group construction, academic style construction, collective and individual honor, dormitory civilization construction and other aspects; rigorous and standardized class structure, colorful class activities, positive and upward state of the academic style, harmonious and civilized dormitory atmosphere, the characteristics of each class group were presented on the stage, the first-year class committee members who came to study and observe the meeting were fully inspired by the positive, strong and excellent class atmosphere of the senior class. The judges expressed their full affirmation to the wonderful defense of each class and asked questions and gave suggestions according to the defense of each class. Finally, Ling Zhiyong made detailed comments from the aspects of class construction, organization implementation, class backbone skills improvement, etc. He suggested that students must be fully familiar with the content before the defense, the statement should be standardized and fluent, and should be confident in the defense, focusing on ensuring the implementation of the courage to be the first. Carrying out the advanced class group report and defense is not only a summary of the improvement, but also a stage for each class to exchange and learn to promote together, and encourage all the freshmen class committee to exchange and learn from the senior class and make progress hand in hand, and lay a solid foundation in the construction of the class and academic styles in the coming year, so that each student can grow up and improve continuously in the class.
