On September 4, the School of Mechanical Engineering carried out a meeting of postgraduate student cadres for the new semester in B410 of Mechanical Building. Hong Yajie, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the College, Li Hongyu, Graduate Counselor, and the main
student cadres, such as class president, secretary and psychologist, attended the meeting, which was presided over by Ye Xin, Graduate Counselor.
Ye Xin arranged the work for the new semester from the aspects of personal safety protection, paying attention to the safety of electricity in apartments, being wary of online information fraud, paying attention to the mental health of classmates, and scholarship selection. At the same time, she advocated graduate student cadres to play an active role model and take the lead in creating a good environment. In order to create an academic atmosphere, they must first achieve joint advancement in scientific research and work together with the party and group.
Hong Yajie put forward four requirements for student cadres: First, graduate student cadre meetings should be held regularly, and the meetings should provide feedback on the latest academic developments and psychological states of classmates; second, students should strengthen their ideals and beliefs, be brave enough to take on responsibilities, dare to act, and live up to their time and forge ahead in the new era. journey; the third is to urge the Youth League secretaries to do a good job in "youth study", basic league affairs and other tasks, actively learn the spirit of the new era, and strive to become promising young people; fourth, student cadres should do a good job in sorting and summarizing the work of each semester, and checking theorems and do a good job in archiving materials.
The convening of this meeting enabled student cadres to further clarify their role positioning and work responsibilities, improve their enthusiasm for work, enhance their sense of responsibility and mission, and point out the direction for the work of each class and department in the new semester.
