In order to cultivate the scientific literacy of young people who are good at inquiry, diligent in practice and innovative, young volunteers from the School of Mechanical Engineering carried out the practical activity of "Children's Interesting Technology, Lighting Up Dreams" in Shangyou Community on July 5.
In this activity, the volunteers explained the contents related to science and technology in the 20th CPC National Congress and publicized the importance of a strong science and technology country to the children. College student volunteers prepared airplane models, hydraulic mechanical arms, hand-cranked generators and other handmade materials for the children, and under the guidance of the volunteers, the children made scientific and technological works with their own hands.
Through this activity, it not only improved the hands-on ability of the children in the community and enriched their summer life, but also enabled the children to master scientific knowledge in the process of handcrafts and stimulated their imagination and creativity.
