On November 16th,The Graduate Student Union of the School of Mechanical Engineering held the meeting called"Dialogue Country Award, Race to the Top" for exchanging and sharing experience at 415 Sanshan Building.Four distinguished guests, Xu Xiang, Shen Wenrong, He Yihan and Luo Yuntian, winners of National Award for Graduate Students of our school, were invited to share their experiences. Some graduate students also participated in the event.
At the beginning of the event, the host Xu Qiuwen briefly introduced the theme and content of the event and the basic meaning of the National scholarship. Then the four National Award winners were invited to share their own research experience and postgraduate career planning.
Based on his personal research experience, Xu Xiang shared his research, study and competition. He suggested that everyone should find their own research pace, prepare for the publication of authorized patents and other related matters in advance, also pay attention to the competition information of various information websites.Shen Wenrong explained the progress of each stage of the postgraduate period in detail, and provided the students with important ideas to determine the research direction and find innovative points.He Yihan shared his experience and thoughts on theoretical research. He believed that when writing a paper with theoretical analysis as the main content, material objects are secondary and the theoretical analysis must be accurate.Luo Yuntian told about his own scientific research ideal, and shared his experience and skills in writing English papers. He encouraged students to have clear goals and set big ambitions.Finally, the students actively asked questions, and the four guests patiently answered questions and put forward pertinent suggestions for the students.
This activity has narrowed the distance between students and the National award, students clarify the direction of study and research, and plan personal postgraduate career.
