The School of Mechanical Engineering recently announced the formal inclusion of young faculty members Prof. Fan Wei and Assoc. Prof. Hu Xinghao in the 8th and 9th editions of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Youth Talent Lifting Project.

The "Youth Talent Lifting Project" is a national-level initiative launched by CAST in 2015, aimed at supporting young science and technology talents under the age of 32 with significant innovation capabilities and developmental potential. The project utilizes awards and stable support to assist these young talents. The objective is to innovate the selection mechanism, training models, evaluation criteria, and evaluation index system for young scientific and technological talents. The ultimate goal is to help them achieve outstanding accomplishments during the golden period of creativity, grow into academic leaders with exceptional professional capabilities, comprehensive qualities, and an international perspective, and contribute to the national high-level talent pool for scientific and technological innovation.

The School of Mechanical Engineering places high importance on the development of young faculty members, focusing on building a first-class teaching staff and enhancing the overall level of faculty. The school aims to provide a platform that maximizes opportunities for the growth and development of young faculty members. In the future, the school will continue to intensify organizational efforts, further serve the development of faculty, and contribute to the high-quality development of the university.
